Decanting 101

Keep upright at room temperature half a day before 

 

It may not need decanting in terms of aeration because decanting is for taking the sediment out: 

 

First taste the wine
Decant the wine
Decide if it needs to be aired out
Look for good aroma and good fruit
When the wine presents itself as such, cover it with cellophane/glass seal Every 15 minutes, go back to it and see how its behaving

No more than 2 hours before serving
